Kiwanis Club of Manchester is a group of community-oriented people dedicated to making our city a better place to live, work and play. We are business and community leaders. We are dreamers and doers. We are friends and neighbors. We are a family.

Our specific mission is to enrich and improve the lives of Manchester's children and youth, especially those whose opportunities are limited by poverty. We do this through community service projects, fundraising efforts and by partnering with area schools and organizations.

Kiwanis Club of Manchester was chartered in 1921 and was the first Kiwanis Club in the state of New Hampshire. We are a completely volunteer-run nonprofit organization open to men and women interested in sharing their time, talent and treasure to improve the quality of life in Manchester.

The name "Kiwanis" was coined from an expression in a Native American language of the Detroit area, "Nunc Kee-wanis," which means, "we trade" or "we share our talents."
